We're now seeking a new Head of GBS and Tax reporting for one of our teams in Financial Reporting – Global Business Services (GBS) Finance, which is part of the CFO area in Statkraft. We are executing the financial accounting and reporting processes for all legal entities in Statkraft. We strive for standardization and automation with a strong focus on compliance, country specific requirements, competence building and continuous process improvements.
As the Head of GBS Unit and Tax Reporting Team 1, you will:
- Head a team of 3 managers and be responsible for the unit and tax reporting in Norway, Sweden, Ireland and UK. The activities per country differ based on local requirements.
- Lead a staff function for central projects and services that delivers on activities that can be used all over the globe to ensure harmonic system usage and access for all countries to the same platform we deliver to (currently 1 person). Example here is being the central player in the rollout of a closing cockpit solution to replace calendar driven closing schedules by milestone/activity driven closing
- Ensure that systems do sufficiently cover our information needs and that implemented processes are compliant to all relevant requirements governed by our neighbouring department
- Deliver timely and entity focused annual reports and tax returns and other relevant statutory reports and ensure the submission of all relevant inputs towards the group reporting functions
- Support roll-out of new tools and coordinate improvement initiatives across the GBS Finance management team
- Stay in close contact with local managers and keep yourself updated on regulatory and business changes that may impact unit or tax reporting.
- Ensure strong backup mechanisms and avoid vulnerability in core financial processes
- Support your team’s development with regards to digital and business competencies to ensure that GBS Finance is the best business partner for our internal customers
- Participate in finance integrations of newly acquired companies
Qualifications
We look for an experienced leader profile with the essential skills to develop the team and increase the digital and processual readiness in close collaboration with the plans and capabilities at the headquarter.
That includes:
- 5+ years of experience in a comparable management function in finance
- Background as an auditor with experience from complex entities is a preference
- Experience in statutory reporting, tax returns and group reporting processes in Norway (additional countries are highly appreciated)
- Strong IFRS and tax knowledge
- A good understanding of how digitalization can drive business processes and empower people
- Track record of being able to drive and deliver on projects and improvement initiatives
- Goal-oriented with good leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills
- Service minded and good team player
- Likes to develop others and takes joy in other people’s success
- Fluent in Norwegian, English and ideally in one other relevant language
- Experience in SAP S/4 HANA is an advantage
