#FCAS2023 Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer [Spain]


 

Job Description:

An opportunity for an #FCAS2023 Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space , Getafe (Madrid ).

SPECIFIC PROGRAM NEEDS:

As part of the ongoing FCAS activities for Nex Generation Fighter Pillar:

- Will need to collaborate in the different WPs, which are focused on assess and develop the Electronic Warfare System architecture and preliminary requirements to be taken into account in the FCAS Next Generation Fighter and other pillars

  • will need to elaborate top-level architecture and L0-L1 Functional Analysis and breakdown using MBSE Tools like CAMEO/sysML
  • Knowledge and experience on Electronic Warfare Systems

SYSTEMS ENGINEERING GENERAL NEEDS:

Elicit, analyse and derive requirements from stakeholder needs or upper- level requirements, over the successive system decomposition levels, - write requirements in compliance with quality criteria, avoiding over- and under- specification - manage specificities of interface requirements - define & justify the requirements allocation to the given system elements taking into account the architectural interfaces and constraints, (e.g. requirements constraining system architecture), ensuring traceability - manage requirement changes, including impact analysis and requirements baseline establishment -Verify that the sub-system, equipment and component's requirements are correctly and completely implemented.

Electronic Warfare Development Engineering. Ability to master the area of electrics, electronics and electromagnetics at system, subsystem, equipment, module or component level. To understand and apply the physical principles and rules to design, analyse, test and/or manufacture pyrotechnics devices. To identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements. To define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates. Ability to provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS:

We are looking for candidates with following skill and experience:

  • Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial, Computer, Telecommunications Engineering degree or a related discipline
  • Experience in System Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare Systems or Equipments
  • High level of English and Spanish
  • Experience with sysML/CAMEO or similar system modelling languages
