The Role:
We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in journalism and authorship, someone who is passionate about interviews, storytelling, and creating meaningful narratives that resonate with readers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth interviews with various individuals, ranging from industry experts, thought leaders, celebrities, and everyday people.
Leverage interviewing techniques to encourage interviewees to share valuable insights, anecdotes, and personal experiences.
Independently conduct comprehensive research on various topics to develop a deep understanding and knowledge base, enabling the ability to conduct informed and insightful interviews with subject matter experts.
Analyze and interpret the information gathered from interviews, then seamlessly weave these details into a coherent, engaging narrative.
Write and edit manuscripts, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and adhere to our high standard of quality.
Strive to maintain a consistent voice and tone across all written works, reflecting our brand's identity when necessary, while also being versatile and capable of adapting to different projects and writing styles to align with specific genres, target audiences, and other directives.
Collaborate closely with our editorial and marketing teams to ensure that books, articles and other content align with our strategic goals and meet market needs.
Remain up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of journalism, as well as cultural, social, and political landscapes.
Uphold the principles of journalism, such as accuracy, fairness, and integrity, at all times.
Demonstrate an open-minded approach to leveraging AI as a writing tool to enhance proficiency and productivity, ensuring a willingness to explore and utilize AI-driven solutions for improved writing outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 8 years' experience in journalism, including a significant track record in conducting interviews and writing long-form content.
Proven experience in writing and publishing books or extensive long-form content.
Excellent interviewing, writing, and editing skills with an understanding of the special requirements of writing for a wide range of audiences.
A robust portfolio of written work, showcasing your ability to craft engaging narratives from interviews and research.
Proficiency in writing under the guidelines of Narrative Non-Fiction and or Expository Writing styles is a plus.
